Decided to do 1.5 mile run, 3000m row and 4 miles on the bike. Overall felt really great! Was really excited to run under 11 min pace for the first time in a long time.
I also signed up for the Indoor Triathlon offered at the YMCA scheduled for March 29th. That is swim, bike and run for as far as you can go in 15 mins per segment. Prizes awarded for top finishers in each age group and everyone gets a t-shirt. I’m super excited because this will be the closest thing to a real triathlon until the one I have scheduled in September.
I know I haven’t posted in a while, but not because I have given up. Life just gets in the way sometimes :-)
Anywho tonight (and every Wednesday) is Hip Hop Cardio night at the Y. I swear, no matter how many times I take this class it still seems to kick my a$$! It is an all out, high intensity, dance until your heart feels like it’s about to explode, 45 min class. Even though I am the only guy brave enough to be in there, it is tons of fun and I always walk out of there feeling good about myself.
I tell people who hate cardio to try everything they can until they find something they love so they stick with it! I highly recommend you try this or something similar.
